We presently offer classes 
at 505 Girod St. in Mandeville, We have group classes appropriate for both beginners and for experienced students and specialized classes, including prenatal yoga and focused, therapeutic series.  We also offer yoga therapy and private instruction for building a personal practice to achieve specific goals related to health, general wellbeing, advanced posture work, meditation, etc.

We strive to keep our group classes small, which allows us to meet the unique needs of each student more effectively. Props and adaptations within the postures are offered, as well as detailed instructions throughout the practice. We encourage our students to enjoy their yoga practice and to ask for help at any time.
In our group classes, we offer asanas (postures), done both statically and dynamically, as well as linked together as vinyasa (a sequence of postures that flow together). Asanas are practiced with attention, not only on the movements and position of the body, but also on the breath.  The purpose of practicing asanas is not to achieve a perfect form, but to benefit from the function of the postures and to find sthira and sukha (stability/focus and lightness/ease) in the practice of them.
We incorporate other aspects of yoga into our classes, including pranayama (conscious regulation of the breath), bhavana (visualization), sound, and dhyanam (meditation.)

This class open to students at all levels who are interested in exploring postures, breathing practices and meditation at a deeper level then offered in the beginner's class.  Don't be afraid though, we welcome people at all levels of fitness, as long as an interest is there in exploring the tools of Yoga.

This class is an opportunity to learn about and discuss two of Patanjali's Yogasutra-s each week.  This text explores a variety of tools that will help us to reduce suffering in our lives.  All interested in exploring the philosophy behind the practice are welcome to attend.

Tuesday - 10-11am  Awake and Aware

always wanted to try a yoga class? Not sure if you can do it because you're not very flexible? This is a great class to start with. We can help you understand how yoga is a wonderful tool for supporting health for every type of body, not just for those with flexible bodies. Bring your questions and your friends and experience how yoga can truly be for EVERYbody.  This class focuses on introducing and reinforcing the basic tools of yoga - simple movements, breathing and meditative focus.

We identify and hold on to so many different things causing us to suffer mentally, physically and emotionally.  The purpose of Yoga is to reduce the suffering in our life.  The intent of this class is to journey inward, creating space so our true nature can blossom. Our essential nature is filled with wisdom, strength, love and happiness.  Some of the tools of Yoga used in this class are asana (physical postures), pranayama (conscious breath), bhavana (visualization), sound and meditation.
FEES
group classes:  three options available. Suggested donations as follows:
  • $10 drop-in, $60 per month for all classes (note some series may be excluded and workshops are not included)
  • Package of 10 classes may be purchased for $90 (expires one year from date of purchase). May be used to attend any of our regular group classes.  
  • The above options are cash/check only
